Pesky Penguins Turns 4: Announcing the Nest Egg!

What an incredible four years it has been! It's truly a pleasure of mine to see how strong the community remains after all this time, and how the floor price remains well above our original mint price.
You guys are incredible, and it brings me joy every day to see everyone hanging out in the Discord, sharing alpha, and repping the Pesky Penguins as your web3 identity. Thank you for making us part of your web3 journey!
Rather than look backwards at all our history and accomplishments (first deflationary collection on Solana, first event-driven mutable metadata, first soft-staking implementation, etc.), today, I want to focus on future.
And so: announcements!
Announcing: The Nest Egg! 🥚
The Nest Egg is our newest initiative designed to reward holders and stakers with a share of Pesky Penguins project revenue through the sustainable redemption of $PESKY tokens for SOL.
The Nest Egg is fueled by validator profits, which we will deploy (weekly) into a dynamic liquidity pool at market rates. This mechanism not only supports price stability through an ever-increasing amount of liquidity in the pool, it encourages market participation through increased volume and deeper liquidity.

$PESKY for SOL Stakers! 🪙
We're delighted to announce that anybody who stakes SOL at our validator or holds ppSOL is now eligible to claim $PESKY tokens as a reward!
The longer you stake, the more $PESKY you earn per SOL staked!
Additionally, we've already been tracking your stake accounts for the past half a year! Anybody staking at the validator can head over to Nootopia right now and claim all the $PESKY they've been earning the whole time! Amazing! :partying_face:

Pesky Penguins has a rich history of deep lore and storytelling. We know this sometimes get in the way of onboarding new community members; where's the "value" in knowing about Gargolon?? (This is rhetorical; do NOT anger the dark magus 😱)

Validator Growth 📈
Our validator has been growing steadily over the past year, and we're now at 120k SOL staked, with more on the way!
Block rewards are WAY down since memecoin season; running a validator profitably has been difficult. 120k is a huge milestone for us; it allows us to operate profitably, which has not always been the case.
The increased stake is the result of a lot of hard, behind-the-scenes grinding. We wrote about it on our blog if you're interested in the details. Very proud to see we've accomplished many of items on the list!
What's Next? 👀
In the coming weeks, you can expect to see:
- Cool infographics outlining validator profits and the split between the Nest Egg and the Snowball.
- Automated liquidity deployment to the Nest Egg with, again, infographics!
- The ability to delegate $PESKY claims to another wallet so you don't need to connect your Ledger to claim.
- Ability to earn PESKY from multiplied stake delegations via protocols like the Kamino/Vault loop!
